Welcome to WDAS

COVID-19 update from the
West Didsbury Astronomical Society

For our next meeting we hope to be back at Cavendish Road Primary School in person (but with a ‘Zoom’ option for those who wish to attend virtually). The talk by Andrew Lound is called ‘Apollo: A Moon Odyssey’ and will take place on Monday, 11 October, 2021 at 19:00.

Observing trip, Anglesey – March 2018

West Didsbury Astronomical Society was formed to bring people together who have an interest in Astronomy. If you are interested in astronomy and you’re in the Manchester (UK) area come and meet other local astronomers.

Everyone is welcome from the complete beginner to the more experienced astronomer. There are regular meetings during the year and ad hoc observing sessions.

For further details – please feel free to attend a society meeting – meetings are usually held on the second Monday of every month (except in August). Depending on the COVID-19 situation we hope to resume meetings at Cavendish Road Primary School from October 2021. [click here for detailed directions] We may also look into live streaming (via zoom) talks as a further option for those who cannot attend in person.

Meetings run from 7pm – 9pm.
